These 3P insert is easily heat mold-able to ensure total contact with the plantar surface of the foot and is extremely durable.
The bottom layer is 3/16 of an inch and consists of a 40 durometer EVA, a durable material that hold the shape of the insert while cradling the foot.
This layer can be modified with a grinder to accommodate shoes with lesser depth.
The middle layer is 1/16 of an inch and Poron® a urethane foam that will not collapse while providing excellent cushioning.
The top layer is 1/8 of an inch and is a polyethylene foam. Polyethylene will compress to take a "mold" of the foot distributing weight evenly throughout the sole of the foot. This layer can be heated with an external heat source such as a heat gun or convection oven.
This tri-laminate multi-density insert is direct formed, molded to the foot after an external heat source is applied. This will ensure total contact with the foot including the arch. Pedor inserts meet the requirements under CMS code K0628for diabetic shoe inserts.
